By car or Grab from the airport

Drivers take the Ho Chi Minh City–Trung Luong expressway, then highway 60 over the Rach Mieu bridge into Ben Tre. A GrabCar has been quoted at roughly VND 600,000–800,000 and a booked private car at VND 1.4–1.6 million one way (2025–2026). The hotel arranges transfers on request.

Getting to Ben Tre Riverside without stress

01

Show the hotel name, not the ward

Since the 2025 merger, maps and booking sites show both “Ward 7, Ben Tre” and “Ben Tre ward, Vinh Long”. Pin “Ben Tre Riverside Resort” in your map app instead.

02

Leave Saigon early at weekends

Traffic out of Ho Chi Minh City on Friday afternoons and before holidays can add an hour; morning departures are smoother.

03

Ride by daylight

Highway 60 into Ben Tre carries heavy trucks and motorbikes. If you cycle from the hotel, keep to the riverside roads in daylight.

Honest note

The hotel is not walkable to the centre. Ben Tre market and the night market are about 4 km away along a busy road, and there are few places to eat close by, so plan on short rides for evenings out.

Questions about getting to Ben Tre Riverside

How far is Ben Tre Riverside from My Tho?

About 18 km, or 25 minutes by car. My Tho is across the Tien River in Tien Giang province, reached over the Rach Mieu bridge, and is where many day-trip boats start. Staying in Ben Tre puts you on the other side of the same river, closer to the coconut islands and workshops.

Can I fly into Long Thanh airport for Ben Tre Riverside?

Not yet for most travellers. Long Thanh airport, east of Ho Chi Minh City, was approved to start commercial flights from 1 December 2026, with international routes moving across in stages through 2027. It is about 125 km from the hotel, further than Tan Son Nhat at 88 km, so check which airport your flight uses.

Does Ben Tre Riverside offer an airport pick-up?

Yes, on request. The hotel arranges cars from Tan Son Nhat and Ho Chi Minh City, but the price shown on some listings is clearly wrong, so ask the hotel for a written quote when you book. For comparison, a GrabCar has been quoted at roughly VND 600,000–800,000 one way.

Where do buses to Ben Tre stop?

Most buses from Mien Tay station end at Ben Tre bus station on highway 60, roughly 5–7 km from the hotel. You can also ask the driver to stop at the foot of the Ham Luong bridge, about 2.35 km from the hotel. Either way, a Grab or taxi covers the last stretch in about 10 minutes.

Is parking free at Ben Tre Riverside?

Yes. Listings show free parking on site for cars and motorbikes, with valet parking also mentioned. If you drive from Ho Chi Minh City, the route is the expressway to Trung Luong, then highway 60 over the Rach Mieu bridge; allow 2 to 2.5 hours.

Is there a shop or ATM near Ben Tre Riverside?

Only small local shops are close by; listings put a grocery about 1 km away. For a supermarket, banks and ATMs, go into town: Co.opmart is about 4 km away and the streets around Ben Tre market have several banks. Reception can point you to the nearest cash machine.
